RESCUE ME

 

for as long as i can remember

i've thought someone was going to rescue me

i believe in God ... i'm not talking about that ...

he saved me and is here in the bigger sense ...

i'm talking about a ufo landing and giving me special powers ..

being able to fly ... playing guitar better than anyone ...

or, winning the state lottery and having no money worries ...

or some unknown benefactor leaving me millions ...

i have waited and waited ...

knowing someone would rescue me from this day to day drudgery ...

i never knew it would be me
